It seems that everybody is celebrating something this month. We are coming to the end of the year, and the end of an era. We seem to be getting ready for a new birth. CHANGA is also experiencing a newbirth and a celebration. The celebration of a newborn brings with it hope and new light. CHANGA is being reborn this season with hope of a new project that will move forward the dream of deaf-friendly housing.
Across the country we are hearing rumors of people talking about the subject now. There is a growing awareness of the need. As we move toward the end of the year, we are accelerating into that new hope and exploring opportunities to provide housing. I was told last week, if you build it, they will come. I then saw evidence of that when I stumbled upon a property that had lost it’s way and had been a beacon for the deaf. Hopefully we can make it shine once again and provide a great new community for the deaf and hard of hearing.
We celebrate the hope of this newbirth and speed our way to that destiny. It almost feels like Luke, Leah and Han in Episode IV – The New Hope. For those of you who might be living in the pliestocene period, I’m referring to Star Wars. 😉
Light and Love.
